US forces announce the destruction of a Houthi missile system in Yemen

The US forces announced, at dawn on Wednesday, the destruction of a Houthi missile system in Yemen, within the past 24 hours.

“Over the past 24 hours, U.S. Central Command forces have successfully destroyed a missile system in an area controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen,” the U.S. Central Command announced in an update on the X platform.

“These systems have been shown to pose an imminent threat to US, coalition, and commercial vessels in the region,” she added. “These actions are being taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US, coalition, and commercial vessels.”
