The Ministry of Education in the interim capital, Aden, announced today, Thursday, the results of the secondary school certificate exams in the liberated areas for the academic year 2023/2024 AD.
The ministry said in a statement that the success rate in last year's exams reached 86.1 percent.
According to the statement, the total number of students who took the tests amounted to 90,852 male and female students, in the scientific and literary sections, distributed across 887 test centers.
He stated that 74,480 male and female students passed the exams, with a success rate of 86.1%, including 62,019 male and female students in the science section and 12,461 male and female students in the literature section, while the number of those who failed reached 12,060 male and female students, with a rate of 13.9%, including 10,385 male and female students in the science section, and 1,675 male and female students in the literature section.
During the ceremony announcing the results of the General Secondary Certificate examinations, which was organized by the Supreme Committee for Examinations, the Minister of Education, Mr. Tariq Salem Al-Akbari, congratulated all male and female students who achieved high results at the governorate level in the Republic.
The Minister wished the outstanding and successful students success in their future educational journey, praising at the same time the efforts made by the Higher Committee for Examinations and all its teams of educational cadres from various sectors in the Ministry’s office and the governorates, and the efforts supported by the local authorities, which contributed to the success of the examination process.
