After the end of the second round of the group stage, Bahrain qualified without a loss, while the Yemeni national team did not achieve anything in the Arabian Gulf Cup "Gulf 26" football championship, which is currently being held in Kuwait and will continue until January 3.
Bahrain became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals after beating Iraq 2-0 on Wednesday in Group 2, while Saudi Arabia revived its hopes after turning the tables on Yemen to emerge victorious 3-2 in the same group.
In the second round of Group A matches, which was held on Tuesday, Kuwait defeated the UAE 2-1, and the Omani team achieved a valuable victory over its Qatari counterpart 2-1 at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium.
Saudi Arabia and Iraq will meet on Saturday in a decisive match to determine the identity of the team that will accompany Bahrain to the semi-finals in Group Two, noting that a draw is in Saudi Arabia's favor.
Kuwait will play Qatar in the final round of Group 1, while Oman will meet the UAE.
