Mohamed Salah continues to break records at Liverpool after City defeat

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah led his team, Liverpool, to win the summit match against host Manchester City, beating them 2-0 on Sunday evening in the 26th round of the English Premier League.
Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 14th minute before setting up the second goal for Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai in the 37th minute, raising the team of Dutch coach Arne Slot's score to 64 points at the top, while the team of coach Pep Guardiola's score froze at 44 points in fourth place after suffering its eighth loss since the start of the league.

Salah raised his tally to 25 goals, topping the scorers' list.
Salah scored 25 goals in 27 matches in the English Premier League this season, after scoring 18 goals in 32 matches he played in the competition last season.
The Egyptian Pharaoh scored 25 goals in a single season in the English Premier League for the first time since the 2017/2018 season.
Mohamed Salah equalled the record for away goals in a single Premier League season, set by Kevin Phillips in 2000/99 and Harry Kane in 2022/23 with 16 goals.
Salah became the first player to score and assist in 11 different matches in a single season in the top five leagues since Lionel Messi with Barcelona in the 2014/15 season.
