Egyptian star Mohamed Salah led his team Liverpool to victory over Bournemouth, while Newcastle United suffered a shocking loss against its guest Fulham, while Everton swept Leicester City, today, Saturday, in the 24th round of the English Premier League.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah shined, scoring two goals to lead his team to a hard-fought away win over Bournemouth, 2-0.

Salah scored his first goal from a penalty kick in the 30th minute, and added the second goal in the 75th minute, bringing the Egyptian star's tally to 21 goals, and moving him 3 goals ahead of the Norwegian Erling Haaland, the Manchester City star, at the top of the scorers list this season.

Mohamed Salah achieved a new historical achievement after becoming the fifth player to score at least 20 goals in five different seasons in the English Premier League, after Alan Shearer, Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane and Thierry Henry.

The Liverpool star raised his tally to 178 goals in the English Premier League, becoming sixth in the list of the English Premier League's all-time top scorers, surpassing former Chelsea star Frank Lampard, who scored 177 goals.

Mohamed Salah maintained his position as the historical top scorer in direct confrontations between Liverpool and Bournemouth with 11 goals in 12 matches.

With this valuable victory, Liverpool strengthened its lead at the top of the table with 56 points, while Bournemouth paid a heavy price for wasting easy opportunities throughout the two halves, freezing its score at 40 points in seventh place.

Newcastle lose

Newcastle United suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat at home to Fulham.

Newcastle failed to hold on to their first-half lead as Jacob Murphy scored in the 37th minute of the match at St James' Park.

The London team turned things around in their favour with two goals in the second half, scored by Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz in the 61st and 82nd minutes.

Newcastle United's tally froze at 41 points, remaining in fifth place, behind title holder Manchester City on goal difference and in fourth place before its match against Arsenal tomorrow.

Newcastle thus missed the opportunity to take sole possession of fourth place, suffering their seventh loss this season, while Fulham raised their tally to 36 points in ninth place.

Everton shine

In another match at the same time, Everton beat Leicester City 4-0.

Everton took a very early lead through Mali midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure after 10.18 seconds, the fourth fastest goal in Premier League history.

Beto added two goals in the sixth and second minutes of stoppage time in the first half, before Iliman Ndiaye completed the hosts' four-goal haul in the 90th minute.

Everton achieved their second consecutive victory, raising their score to 26 points in fifteenth place, while Leicester City remained in seventeenth place with 17 points.

In a third match, Southampton beat host Ipswich Town 2-1.

Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu scored for Southampton in the 21st and 87th minutes, while Liam Delap scored Ipswich Town's only goal in the 31st minute.

Southampton raised their score to 9 points with this victory, but they remained at the bottom of the standings in twentieth place, while Ipswich Town's score froze at 16 points in nineteenth place.

Nottingham Forest also regained their balance in the English Premier League, after their big win over their guest Brighton 7-0 in the opening match of the round.
