180 African migrants arrested off the coast of Shabwa

Authorities in Shabwa Governorate (southeast Yemen) arrested 180 African migrants upon their illegal arrival on the governorate's coast.
The Interior Ministry's Security Media Department said in a statement that the provincial police arrested 180 African migrants on the coast of Kida in Radhum District, Shabwa Governorate.
He added that the illegal immigrants arrived on a boat called "Al Farouq," piloted by a crew of three Somali sailors.
He explained that the arrested migrants were of Ethiopian and Somali nationalities, including 128 Ethiopians (65 men and 63 women) and 52 Somalis, all of whom were men.
The statement indicated that the competent authorities have begun monitoring and taking the necessary measures regarding the detained migrants.
