A girl was killed in a gunfight in one of the towns of Ibb Governorate

A girl was killed in a gunfight in a town in Ibb Governorate (central Yemen).

Local sources said that a girl from the "Al-Sufyan" family was killed in a weapons tampering incident in the village of Al-Khamai in the Al-Siyani district, south of Ibb governorate.

The sources added that the girl's brother, a child, was playing with a gun in their house, and while the girl was trying to take it from him, a bullet was fired from it, killing her instantly.

During the last months and years, dozens of the governorate’s residents have been killed in incidents of tampering with weapons, amid the widespread proliferation of weapons in the governorate, which is under the control of the Houthi militia.
