The Al-Maraqishah tribes in Abyan Governorate, in the south of the country, demanded, in a strongly worded statement, the immediate release of the young man, "Ahmed Ali Salem Hafin Al-Maraqishi", who was forcibly disappeared after his return from the Emirates.

According to the statement, Ahmed Hafin was part of an official mission sent by the Security Belt to study at Sheikh Zayed College in the UAE. After his return at the request of leaders in the Transitional Council, he was arrested and disappeared without revealing his place of detention, despite the continuous follow-up by his father and high-ranking security leaders.

The tribes announced in an expanded meeting that included sheikhs, dignitaries, and leaders of the Maraqisha tribes, that they held Brigadier General Mohsen Al-Wali, commander of the security belts, and Brigadier General Munif Al-Zubaidi, fully responsible for the fate of Hafin.

The statement also held the head of the Transitional Council, Major General Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, responsible for the consequences of this issue.

The statement stressed that all options are open if the kidnapped person is not released immediately, stressing the need for urgent response to avoid repercussions that may affect the stability of the region.
