Al-Arada directs the formation of a joint committee to support cancer patients in Marib

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan bin Ali Al-Arada, directed the formation of a joint committee comprising the local authority, the health sector, the National Oncology Center, and the Hadramout Foundation for Cancer Control, to work on coordinating efforts and meeting the needs of cancer patients in Marib Governorate.
This came during a meeting with a delegation from the Hadhramout Cancer Control Foundation, where he listened to a detailed explanation from Dr. Abdul Qader Bayazid, Chairman of the Foundation, about its future plans and current programs, including the initial vision for establishing a “Hope Unit” for treating tumors in the Marib General Hospital Authority.
The unit aims to provide chemotherapy services to cancer patients, in partnership with the local authority and health authorities, and work is currently underway to equip it with medical equipment and qualified staff, according to Saba Agency.
Al-Arada praised the role of Hadramout Cancer Control Foundation in alleviating the suffering of patients and their families, stressing his full support for the foundation and his pledge to provide the appropriate environment to expand its activities in Marib.
Al-Arada also stressed the importance of the role played by humanitarian institutions in supporting official efforts and contributing to meeting the needs of citizens in the health, education, relief and development sectors, especially during these difficult circumstances.
For his part, the Foundation’s delegation expressed its thanks to Major General Al-Arada for his interest and support, stressing the Foundation’s readiness to enhance its efforts and provide its expertise to serve cancer patients in Marib and the rest of the governorates.
