Hodeidah: Yemen Youth Net - Special

The head of the Tihama National Council, parliamentarian Mohammed Warq, revealed efforts to fragment and restructure the Tihama brigades within the framework of the joint forces in Hodeidah (western Yemen).
MP Warq said in a post on his Facebook page that battalions are being withdrawn from several Tihama brigades under the pretext of restructuring them, warning that this could be a prelude to imposing other forces from outside Tihama in the contact areas separating government forces and the Houthi militia.
He explained that the efforts to restructure the Tihama forces come at a time when an earthen barrier is being placed between the Houthi militia and the government forces, with a width of about 20 meters and a height of about 15 meters, on the contact lines north of the Al-Haymah area, south of Hodeidah.
The head of the Tihama National Council linked what is happening to foreign ambitions and a plan targeting Tihama, which he said began with the Stockholm Agreement, followed by what was called the repositioning, passing through the establishment of the Turabi buffer, in preparation for the fourth step represented in "detailing new forces that are compatible with the new coming situation," as he described it.
MP Rouq asked: "What is the purpose of these movements and work on the men of the Tihama resistance? What do you want from the Tihama resistance?!" He explained that this movement "has a previous extension and premeditated intentions against the free, brave and honorable men of Tihama who cannot be tools for foreign, unpatriotic projects, which makes us say that it is an attempt to pull the rug out from under their hands (for a serious emergency matter)."
Waraq called on the people of Tihama and its resistance to prepare for confrontation with all possible means to thwart what he called the "malicious colonial plan."
