Houthi gunmen attack a local official in the militia authorities south of Ibb

A local official in the Houthi militia authorities in one of the cities of Ibb Governorate (central Yemen) was attacked by gunmen affiliated with an influential leader in the group.

Informed sources told "Yemeni Youth Net" that gunmen affiliated with the Houthi leader appointed as deputy governor of Ibb, Ali bin Ali Al-Nu'ah, attacked engineer Nabil Khashafah, director of the Public Works Fund in Al-Qa'idah city in Dhi As-Sufal district, south of Ibb.

The sources added that the Houthi elements, who arrived in a military vehicle, demanded that Khashafah pay them sums of money, and when he refused to comply with their demands, they assaulted him.

The sources indicated that the Houthi elements affiliated with the Houthi leader are committing widespread violations in the Al-Siyani and Dhi As-Sufal directorates, where the "Al-Nu'a" enjoy great influence.
