The International Organization for Migration announced the displacement of more than 20,000 Yemenis during the past eleven months of this year.
The organization said in its latest report issued yesterday, Monday, that its displacement tracking matrix monitored the displacement of 3,411 families representing (20,466 individuals) at least once, during the period from January 1 to November 30, 2024.
According to statistics from the United Nations, the majority of displacement cases during the period were recorded in Marib, with 1,506 families, followed by Hodeidah with 799 families, then Taiz with 762 families and Lahj with 281 families.
The organization's cumulative statistics indicate that security and safety concerns, and economic conditions resulting from the conflict, are the most prominent drivers of displacement in Yemen since the beginning of the year.
