National Committee for Health Risks Discusses Emergency Plans and Communication in Aden

The National Risk Coordination Committee (NCC) discussed today in the interim capital, Aden, the national emergency plan and risk communication, headed by the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Buhaibeh, with the participation of a number of ministries and partner sectors in the health field.

The Minister of Health stressed the ministry's keenness to coordinate efforts with partners to ensure the success of the implemented plans, pointing to the importance of community participation and means of communication in dealing with the risks facing the country, according to Saba Agency.

Dr. Buhaibeh explained that the National Emergency Plan represents a pivotal station for enhancing preparedness and response to health emergencies, and is based on a comprehensive risk assessment, with a focus on protecting the most vulnerable groups and ensuring an effective response.

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for the Primary Health Care Sector, Dr. Ali Al-Walidi, pointed out that the meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance coordination with relevant sectors, with the aim of supporting community mobilization and changing health behavior through the participation of various sectors.
