Shabwa Defense Forces announced, at dawn on Saturday, the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle a shipment of various weapons and ammunition that was on its way to Shabwa Governorate (southeast Yemen).
The forces said in a statement on their account on the X platform that their elements at one of the points "were able (Friday) to seize a shipment of various weapons and ammunition smuggled in a transport vehicle (Buza) tightly hidden coming from one of the neighboring governorates on its way to the governorate."
The forces did not provide further details, nor did they indicate the source or beneficiary of the seized shipment.
