Today, Thursday, citizens held a protest in the Nisab district of Shabwa Governorate, southeast of Yemen, to demand the release of activist "Mohammed Awad Qambou' Al-Awlaki", who was kidnapped late last month.

Local sources said that the family of activist Mohammed Al-Awlaki, along with tribal citizens, held a protest today in front of the so-called "Awareness Committee" affiliated with the Transitional Council in the Nisab District, to demand his release.

The protesters raised pictures of activist Mohammed al-Awlaki, who is loyal to the STC, and slogans rejecting illegal detentions, including: “Yes to the system and the law, no to illegal prisons.”

The protesters demanded the immediate release of activist Al-Awlaki, or his referral to the competent authorities in the judicial institutions, if he was charged with any crime.

On November 30, security forces kidnapped activist Al-Awlaki and took him to Ataq Airport prison, without knowing the reasons.
