Source for "Yemeni Youth Net": Tribal gunmen attack the Shibam Hadramout Security Department building

On Wednesday evening, tribal gunmen attacked the security administration building in Shibam District in Hadhramaut Governorate, eastern Yemen.

A security source told "Yemeni Youth Net" that tribal gunmen attacked the security administration building of the Shibam Hadhramaut Directorate, and clashes erupted between the two parties using light and medium weapons.

The source explained that the same gunmen had surrounded the building a few days ago, demanding the replacement of the directorate's security director, Colonel "Mohammed Ahmed Ghallab", with another from their tribe.

The militants accuse the director of security of preventing them from taking taxes from transport trucks, according to the source.

According to the source, "tension is still ongoing," while it is not known whether there were any casualties or not, while no official clarification has been issued by the security authorities so far.
