The statement said, “From this standpoint, we and all those present saw that we should stand with the public interest of teachers and our sons and daughters, the students, in light of the appeals that the union received from a number of educational leaders in the field, parents’ councils, and even the students themselves, in order to continue the educational process that has mostly stopped in government schools.”

He added, "As a result of the shortness of the second semester and the passing of three weeks of it without studying and the approaching of the holy month of Ramadan while our students did not receive the required education for all these reasons, we announce the suspension of the strike in all schools and educational facilities in our beloved governorate (Taiz) and we call upon and appeal to our brothers, male and female teachers, to adhere to this, thank you."
