An Interior Ministry official said on Wednesday that two employees of the Civil Status Authority were referred to the disciplinary council, as a result of violations committed in the Authority’s branches in a number of liberated governorates.
This came during a meeting headed by the Undersecretary of the Civil Services Sector at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdul Majeed Al-Amiri, to discuss the progress of work in the Civil Status and Civil Registry Authority and its branches in the liberated governorates, according to the Saba Agency.
According to the agency, the meeting reviewed the results of investigations into a number of violations that were monitored in the Authority’s presidency and some branches, and the issuance of the Minister of Interior’s decision regarding the results of the investigation, which included referring two members of the Authority’s presidency to the disciplinary council.
He referred to the decision of the Minister of Interior to issue declarations and pledges to nine employees of the branches of the Authority in the liberated governorates, not to violate the regulations and laws, and to issue a written warning to those involved in these violations.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior stressed the need to facilitate services for citizens, and to adhere to transparency and speed in completing transactions.
