Two people were injured on Wednesday in clashes between tribal gunmen inside a government hospital in Lawdar District, Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen.

A local source told "Yemeni Youth Net" that clashes broke out between gunmen from the "Al-Laqfa" and "Al-Hudayl" tribes, in the premises of the Mahnaf Hospital in the Lodar District, as a result of tribal revenge.

He explained that the clashes resulted in two hospital visitors sustaining moderate injuries: Ali Al-Jaadani and Marwan Omar Jaafar.

The source added that the clashes caused panic and fear among patients, citizens and medical staff inside the hospital.

He pointed out that the hospital director, Dr. Nabil Al-Kazmi, announced the suspension of work, demanding the arrest of the gunmen and the provision of protection for the hospital.
