The Chief of Operations at the Ministry of Defense, Major General Khaled Al-Ashoul, stressed on Wednesday the importance of raising combat readiness and operational coordination between various military units.
This came during his visit today, Wednesday, to the headquarters of the Joint Operations Authority in the interim capital, Aden, accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of the Authority, Major General Naji Abbas, and the Director of the Operations Department, Brigadier General Yahya Al-Aizari, according to the army website "September Net".
During the visit, Major General Al-Ashwal listened to an explanation from the Chief of the Joint Operations Authority, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, about the progress of work and the level of implementation of operational tasks, and coordination between the military components affiliated with the Presidential Leadership Council to confront the terrorist Houthi militia.
Major General Al-Ashoul stressed the need to monitor the militia's movements, including its military reinforcements and mobilization of its forces, and to take the necessary measures to confront any potential threats, stressing the interest of the political and military leadership in strengthening the capabilities of the armed forces and raising the level of operational coordination.
For his part, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan stressed the continuation of efforts to enhance joint work and raise the efficiency of the armed forces to carry out their tasks efficiently, stressing the importance of coordination and integration between the various units to achieve the desired national goals.
This comes in light of the escalation carried out by the Houthi militia on a number of fronts, as the militia has sent military reinforcements to Marib and Taiz in the past few days, as it is trying to exploit the truce to achieve any breakthrough in the positions of the army forces.
