The Houthi militia called on Saudi Arabia to mediate with the United States to stop its air strikes on them in Yemen, and threatened to strike American interests there.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said today, Tuesday, in a speech at the Houthi militia’s Ministry of Defense: “We tell Saudi Arabia to make the Americans wise and not to target the Republic of Yemen, otherwise American interests in the Middle East will be hit.”

He added, "We will not have any red lines, and any American interest, if the time comes, will be hit and bombed, and the face will be white."

In recent days, the US Central Command has published photos of its warplanes being equipped with 2,000-pound anti-bunker bombs to launch strikes against selected Houthi targets in Yemen.

The Houthi statement comes after the increase in American strikes and the beginning of the United States’ announcement of targeting command and control rooms, after a year of avoiding targeting Houthi leaders and limiting itself to intercepting Houthi naval capabilities, launch platforms, and missiles that the Houthis fire at maritime navigation under the pretext of supporting Gaza.

These Houthi statements came in the wake of Israeli threats to strike Houthi infrastructure and turn Sanaa and Hodeidah into another Gaza and Lebanon.
