The Presidential Leadership Council issued Resolution No. (30) of 2024, which included the dismissal of three senior officials in the Prime Minister’s Office from their positions, including its Director and Secretary-General.
This decision came within the framework of implementing Resolution No. (25) of 2024, which aims to address existing problems in the Cabinet apparatus.
According to a circulated document, Anis Awad Baharitha, Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Ali Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Assistant Director of the Prime Minister's Office, and Mutee Ahmed Damaj, Secretary-General of the Cabinet, were dismissed from their positions.
According to the document, this decision came "based on the results of the committee headed by Major General Abdul Rahman Al-Mahrami Abu Zaraa, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, which submitted its recommendations to address the differences in the Council of Ministers."
Disagreements had developed into clashes between the Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Anis Baharitha, and the Secretary-General of the Council, Mutee Damaj, early last September, as a result of financial disputes and other matters that were not disclosed.
