Ali Al-Saya - Deputy Intelligence Affairs, Counter-Terrorism Service (former)
The Specialized Criminal Prosecution in Aden issued an arrest warrant on Sunday against a former counter-terrorism official close to Major General Shalal Shayea, a day after he was dismissed from his position as Undersecretary for Intelligence Affairs in the Counter-Terrorism Service headed by Shalal.
According to the arrest warrant, the Specialized Criminal Prosecution in Aden accuses Ali Mohammed Ali Al-Siyaa, the Deputy Director of Intelligence Affairs at the Counter-Terrorism Service, of “participating in a gang that carries out assassinations and bombings.”
The Public Prosecution stressed the necessity of arresting "Al-Siyaa" and bringing him in, even by using force to the extent necessary to overcome any resistance from him or others, in implementation of the text of Article No. (70) of the Criminal Procedures Law.
And called upon the police or public authorities to cooperate with them when necessary to implement the provisions of this order in accordance with the law.
This comes one day after the Chairman of the Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, dismissed the accused, "Ali Al-Siyaa", from his position as "Undersecretary for Intelligence Affairs in the Counter-Terrorism Service", and cancelled the decision to appoint him.
It is noteworthy that this decision comes in light of the escalating conflict between the Vice President of the Transitional Council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, and the leader Shalal Ali Shaya, head of the Counter-Terrorism Service.
