Taiz.. Tens of thousands participate in a mass march to commemorate the anniversary of the February 11 Revolution

On Tuesday morning, the city of Taiz witnessed a massive public march in which tens of thousands of citizens participated to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the glorious February 11 Revolution, where they pledged to continue the struggle to achieve the goals of the revolution.

The celebrants gathered in Al-Awadhi and Wadi Al-Qadi roundabouts and in front of the Education Office before setting off on a walking march from in front of the governorate building on Jamal Street to Al-Hurriya Square, where the spark of the February Revolution was launched.

The demonstrators from various Taiz directorates chanted slogans affirming the continuity of the revolution, the restoration of the state, and confronting the terrorist Houthi militia, including: "Republic, Republic, February, Freedom Day... Republic, Republic, No to the Houthi gang."

They denounced the continued collapse of the currency in the absence of the government's role, chanting slogans including: "Oh legitimacy, where are you lost? The entire Yemeni people are hungry."

The statement of the march issued by the Popular Resistance Council stressed the necessity of completing the achievement of the revolution’s goals and working to overthrow the Houthi militia coup and restore the state, preserving the constants of the homeland, the republic and unity, and safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.

The Resistance Council's speech stressed the necessity of alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and improving living conditions, starting with moving the wheel of the economy and development and re-exporting oil and gas.

The march statement called on the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to support the national army and the popular resistance in the battle to rid themselves of the Houthi militia, and to work to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people and their right to live a dignified life and obtain all their legitimate rights within the framework of a state of law and order.

The Supreme Council of the Popular Resistance, the Revolutionary Youth Council, the February Movement, and other revolutionary entities called on the people of Taiz and all national forces to participate actively in this occasion, which represents a historic milestone in the ongoing struggle of the Yemenis for freedom and dignity.
