Special sources told Yemen Youth Channel that Yemeni political parties will announce their bloc tomorrow, Wednesday, in the interim capital, Aden, amid a boycott by the UAE-backed Transitional Council.
The sources confirmed to the “From the Other Side” program, which is broadcast on the “Yemeni Youth” channel, that the Yemeni political parties and blocs, numbering 34 parties and political blocs, have signed to join this new political bloc, and have agreed to name Dr. “Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher,” Chairman of the Shura Council, as the head of this bloc.
According to the sources, the Transitional Council announced its refusal to join this political entity that calls for the restoration of Yemen, while the Transitional Council calls for secession, stressing that this refusal came at the behest of the Emirates.
The Transitional Council attacked the announcement of this entity, which is supported by the American Democratic Institute and the US Agency for Development, despite its previous participation last April in this bloc, which was held in Aden last April and announced its main determinants.
The sources said that Al-Alimi did not want Bin Dagher to take on this position, which might return him to the presidency of the government or the leadership of the Presidential Leadership Council.
