Chelsea lose to Ipswich Town, Manchester United suffer third straight league defeat

Ipswich Town surprised its guest Chelsea with a defeat, while Manchester United suffered a third consecutive loss in the league, while Aston Villa tied with its guest Brighton, in the nineteenth round of the English Premier League.

Ipswich Town played their best match of the current season in the English Premier League, defeating their guest Chelsea 2-0.

Ipswich Town surprised Chelsea with a strong performance at the start of the match, taking advantage of the home advantage and the crowd. In the 12th minute, striker Liam Delap was able to open the scoring for Ipswich from a penalty kick, and the first half ended with the home team leading by a clean goal.

In the 53rd minute, Ipswich midfielder Omari Hutchinson managed to score the second goal after he fired a low shot that went into the net of Chelsea goalkeeper Philip Jorgensen.

Chelsea tried to come back and narrow the gap, but failed in front of the excellent performance of Ipswich Town players, especially in terms of defense.

Ipswich Town raised its score to 15 points in eighteenth place after the team achieved only its third victory since the beginning of the season.

Newcastle beat Manchester United

This is Manchester United's third consecutive loss in the league and fourth in a row overall.

Brighton draw with Aston Villa

In another match, a 2-2 draw dominated the match in which Brighton hosted Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Brighton opened the scoring in the 12th minute through Simon Adingra, before Aston Villa responded with two goals scored by Ollie Watkins from a penalty kick in the 36th minute, and Morgan Rogers in the 47th minute.

Brighton did not give up and managed to equalize the score in the 81st minute through Tariq Lamptey.

By sharing the point, the Villans' tally now stands at 29 points, in ninth place.

While Brighton have 27 points in tenth place, this is the seventh consecutive match in the competition in which they have failed to taste victory (5 draws and 2 losses).
