Real Madrid qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals on penalties against Atletico Madrid, setting up a date with Arsenal.
Atletico Madrid defeated Real Madrid 1-0 in regulation time in the second leg of the Round of 16, but Real Madrid secured qualification on penalties 4-2 after Atletico held a 1-0 lead during extra time.
Real Madrid won the first leg 2-1, so the match went to penalty kicks.
Englishman Gallagher opened the scoring for Atletico Madrid after just 27 seconds, scoring Atletico's fastest goal in the tournament.

Brazilian Vinicius missed a chance to equalize for Real Madrid from a penalty kick in the 70th minute.
After the match went to penalty kicks, Mbappé, Bellingham, Valverde, and Rudiger scored for Real Madrid, while Spanish full-back Vazquez missed a penalty.
Atletico scored through Sorloth and Correa, while Alvarez's penalty was disallowed after a VAR review, and Llorente missed.
