Lahj.. A meeting approves the formation of a committee to address the obstacles facing the investment sector in the governorate

A meeting in Lahj Governorate, on Tuesday, approved the formation of a committee consisting of the governorate’s specialized government offices to follow up and evaluate the level of achievement in modern industrial projects, and address their obstacles, in order to start operating them.

This came during the expanded meeting chaired by Governor Major General Ahmed Turki, and included the Chairman of the Investment Committee Khalid bin Khalid, the member of the Supreme Economic Committee Dr. Fatima Baamer, the directors of the General Investment Authority branch Alaa Ibrahim, the Industry and Trade Office Abdul Rab Al-Jaafari, the Public Works and Roads Office Engineer Abdul Karim Sallam, and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Amin Al-Rubaie.

According to Saba News Agency, the governor stressed the keenness of the local authority leadership in the governorate and its continued great efforts to facilitate the procedures of the investment sector and encourage its investors to develop the development system economically and socially.

Al-Turki pointed out that Lahj Governorate is keen to address the problems facing some industrial projects under implementation, by directing the concerned state facilities in the governorate to work on resolving the problems that caused the stumbling block in completing the work of those investment projects to complete them, so that they can play their important role assigned to them in meeting the needs of the market and absorbing new youth job opportunities.

The meeting approved the formation of a committee consisting of the competent government offices in Lahj Governorate to follow up and evaluate the level of achievement in modern industrial projects under implementation, and address their obstacles, in order to expedite their completion and begin operating them, manufacturing their products and marketing them.
