Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper, published in London, revealed today, Sunday, that Jordanian intelligence informed Hamas of the necessity of deporting the deported prisoner Ahlam Al-Tamimi from Jordan tonight.

The newspaper said, quoting private sources, that Jordanian intelligence officially informed the movement in Qatar of its decision that either the movement would take over the issue of finding a place for the freed prisoner Ahlam al-Tamimi or that Jordan would hand her over to the United States.

According to the newspaper, Jordan refuses to receive any of the released prisoners deported who hold Jordanian citizenship as part of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.

She pointed out that the family of the prisoner Tamimi had been demanding throughout the past period that the Hamas movement put the file of their daughter, who holds Jordanian and Palestinian nationalities, on the negotiating table with the Israeli occupation, especially since there are detainees held by the movement who hold American and Israeli nationalities.

It is noteworthy that the administration of US President Donald Trump, during its first term, specifically in 2020, considered stopping aid to Jordan, one of its most prominent partners in the Arab world, in an attempt to force it to hand over the freed prisoner Ahlam Tamimi, who was convicted by the Israeli occupation of a bombing that took place in 2001, and claimed the lives of 15 people, including two American citizens.

Ahlam Al-Tamimi is a Palestinian journalist and the first woman to join the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. She is a freed prisoner from Israeli occupation prisons, and was sentenced to 16 life sentences after participating in a bombing operation against Israeli occupation forces in Jerusalem on August 9, 2001.

Al-Tamimi was born in 1980 in Zarqa, Jordan, which she left with her family when she finished high school. Ahlam returned to Palestine and began her undergraduate studies at Birzeit University in the West Bank, in the Faculty of Media.
