A citizen was killed by gunmen north of Taiz city

Last night, a citizen was killed by gunmen in front of his house, located next to Al-Wahda School, in the Asifrah neighborhood, north of Taiz city (southwest of Yemen), in an incident that was widely condemned.

The victim's daughter, Ghadir Al-Sharabi, said in posts on her Facebook page that her father, "Saif Mahmoud Faraj Al-Sharabi," asked a gunman named "Walid Kamel Abdul Raqib" not to chew qat in front of his house, but he started shooting at him and killed him.

She added that her father had previously filed complaints with the Asifrah Police Department against the perpetrator for the same reasons, and was then subjected to the perpetrator brandishing a weapon in the presence of the department's officers.

The victim's daughter denied the news circulating about her father shooting the perpetrator, stressing that her father does not own a weapon, calling for not diverting the course of the case, and stressing the need for the security services to cooperate in arresting the perpetrator.

The incident was widely condemned on social media, with activists and media professionals demanding the immediate arrest of the killer and his referral to the competent authorities.
