Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaye Al-Zindani, stressed today, Tuesday, the ministry's rejection of the principle of partisan quotas in diplomatic appointments, stressing that Yemeni embassies will not be an arena for any partisan activity.
Al-Zindani explained in a statement to the Saudi newspaper Al-Bilad that the selection of ambassadors is based on precise criteria that guarantee competence and professional representation, far from partisan considerations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the restructuring of the ministry includes the implementation of clear internal regulations to control performance and improve the efficiency of diplomatic missions.
He added that the government is working to create suitable conditions for the work of embassies and international organizations in the temporary capital, Aden, as the city recently received 15 new ambassadors, in a step that enhances the Yemeni diplomatic presence on the international scene, coinciding with the signing of important agreements with China, Morocco and Kuwait.
