Lahj.. A young man was killed by a soldier in the Homeland Shield Forces in Ras Al-Ara

A young man was killed, on Wednesday evening, by bullets from a soldier in the Homeland Shield Forces affiliated with the Presidential Council, in Lahj Governorate, in the south of the country.

Local sources said that the young man, "Raed Fahmi Ibrahim Othman", was killed by gunmen who were on board a white vehicle belonging to the Homeland Shield Forces in Ras Al-Ara Market in Al-Mudharaba Directorate, without knowing the reasons.

For its part, military sources in the Homeland Shield Forces said that the killing incident occurred by mistake, after a bullet was fired from the accused soldier’s weapon while a vehicle belonging to them was passing through Ras Al-Ara market.

The sources confirmed that the Homeland Shield forces arrested the soldier accused in the case, and handed him over to the leadership of the security campaign in preparation for referring him to the competent authority.
