The suffering of the families of employees of international organizations.. The death of the mother of a kidnapped person in the Houthi prisons in Sana’a and the denial of contact for the family of another

Human rights sources reported the death of the mother of one of the abducted employees of humanitarian agencies and diplomatic missions who were targeted by the Houthi kidnapping campaigns six months ago, while the family of another abductee complained that they were denied contact with him for this long period.

The sources said that the mother of the employee at the American Democratic Institute, Murad Dhafer, who was kidnapped by the Houthis since last June, died yesterday, Sunday, out of grief over her son, whose fate she had not known since the day he was kidnapped.

In a related context, Khaled Al-Yemeni, the son of the kidnapped Mohammed Al-Yemeni - who worked for a number of humanitarian organizations - complained that the Houthi security and intelligence apparatus has refused for more than six months to allow him to contact his father or to check on his health.

He added in a series of posts on the X platform that his family received a call from the intelligence service stating that they had allowed his father to make a call after six months of suffering, but they then cancelled the call without giving any reasons, turning the joy into sadness.

The Yemeni appealed to human rights organizations to stand by them, saying: “To those who defend the rights of the people, we are also part of this people. We demand our simple human right to be reassured about our father, and for him to return to his family who can no longer bear this pain. We appeal to you to restore to us even a glimmer of hope by allowing this contact, or rather by ending this entire suffering.”
