Security forces arrest an activist in the city of Mokha, west of Taiz

Security forces affiliated with Presidential Council member Tariq Saleh arrested a community activist in the coastal city of Mokha, west of Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen, on Sunday.

A local source told "Yemeni Youth Net" that security forces affiliated with the Mokha Security Department arrested activist "Shawqi Ibrahim Hassan Naji", due to his posts on social media networks.

Activist Shawqi Naji, who is affiliated with the so-called National Resistance, had criticised the living conditions in Mokha and the people’s suffering in his posts.

He also criticised in his writing the actions of the Director General of Mokha District, Sultan Abdullah Mahmoud, describing him as a "Trojan horse for confiscating lands to build Mokha," he said.
